For our mentees, being a part of Apex means getting to try new things they may not otherwise have the opportunity for–like going outdoors. Every year, we take them to various spots in New York and the surrounding areas for activities like hiking, ice skating, ropes courses and snow tubing. These activities not only give them new experiences and help push them out of their comfort zone, but also foster bonding between mentors and mentees, as well as team building among each other for the sense of community we value.
